Over the past several months, Cross Point has been blessed with funds to begin some long-needed projects.  Below is a summary...

    Nearing completion of the addition of a 16x16 small group meeting room to the Woodward Cabin (#12) and some of its renovations.

    Beginning replacement of Dean's Cabin roof and the addition of 12' porches to each side and a 12x16 meeting room.

    Ready to begin the addition of a 16x16 small group meeting room to the Ardmore Cabin (#1) and some renovations.

 

Funds for the Woodward Cabin have come from about 6 years of small, undesignated funds that I have set aside, and some funds donated specifically for this type of project. 

 

Funds for the Dean's Cabin have been set aside in 2005 and 2006 by the Camp Board.

 

Funds for the Ardmore Cabin is where I need your help and consideration.  Although the Camp Board has some funds available, they are not flush enough where they can completely underwrite all we need to do.  They have, however, agreed to match $10,000 of the estimated $20,000 cost.  Here is where Rev. Rose suggested I contact you directly. I have already secured $5,000 of the additional $10,000 needed from one of the Ardmore District churches.  Since the cabin we will be working on is named for the Ardmore District, I'm asking for your assistance in raising the $5,000 balance.  If you know of someone that might be willing to make a special gift for this project, or if you would make a special plea or offering for this, it would be much appreciated.

 

One thing that has been continually lifted up is that we do not have enough small group meeting areas.  This is how we are beginning to not only address this problem, but also do some cabin upgrades while we're at it.  Upgrades include additional lighting, upgraded electrical in bathrooms, additional insulation, removal of HVAC units from roofs, standing seam metal roofs, new paint inside, covered porches, etc.
